Last week the subject matter was in reference to my newly released, new edition of my book “In the key of Peace”. I talked about how Music became Meditation. How Meditation became Inner peace, and how Inner peace became a powerful and natural healing for Mind and body. In this weeks follow-up, I’d like to elaborate on the nature of this healing . . .
Firstly, being consciously aware of the healing process that occurs during a meditation, assists in the effectiveness of the healing itself. Our mindful awareness of the process aligns our mind and body in our healing experience.
So there are three things … there is our mind and body, or our MindBody. There is our sense of inner peace being elevated through our meditation practice, and there is the music playing lightly in the space around us.
Our state of Inner peace is our essential healer. In the book, I refer to our Inner peace as an expression of universal peace. Universal peace is the essential energy that underpins the creation of the physical and nonphysical universe — including our human body and our consciousness. When we look skyward, we are looking into infinite space. Universal Peace, is the content of that foreverness. It is the background of our continuing universe. Everything created in the universe, is created out of peace.
“Peace is at the beginning of everything”
Peace is at the beginning of each of our lives. We are born of it, and in the illusion of our human separation, we are connected to it. Our mindbody is the product of universal peace and in that first profoundly peaceful moment, we are in perfect physical coherence with the infinite universe that created the possibility of our life.
Being human in todays reality, focuses our full attention on surviving the physical world. Our day to day lives are consumed by the definition of a scientific viewpoint that both defines and limits our beliefs and capabilities. Looking below the surface of life through self-reflection is not commonplace, but with the rise in dehumanising people-management systems, public interest in taking the inner journey is very much becoming the norm and definitely on the increase. The stresses of surviving a highly competitive lifestyle not only negatively affect our well-being, but also diminish our cellular memory of being at perfect peace and in perfect health.
So following our moment of profound peace at the onset of our human life, we gradually lose touch with our true nature.
It’s different strokes for different folks, but later around midlife, we begin to have spontaneous moments of Inner reflection, complete with glimpses of our Inner peace and our unique and essential nature. Many ignore this as imaginative folly, But increasing numbers of people are now taking up a meditation practice.
Through a stillness meditation we begin to consolidate our relationship with self. We reconnect with our inner peace and our essential moment in life. Our meditations become an ongoing journey of our “Self relationship,” and at the same time, our health and wellbeing incrementally improves. With a more relaxed perspective on life, we become a quietly confident and contented human being in the world.
The process of this healing happens naturally as we continue to meditate and keep in touch with our inner self. At this level, the wholistic science of self-healing is a useful awareness to have . . .
In short, we live in a vibrating physical universe where every single atom is vibrating at its resonant frequency. Under the direction of Energy fields, atoms organise themselves to form physical structures that also have a collective resonant frequency. The physical human body is a biological structure built on several levels of organisation, including chemicals, cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems, all with their own resonant frequencies and collectively, as a resonant frequency that represents a complete and healthy human body.
Every independent part of our mind and body has a fundamental resonant-frequency vibration that contributes to our full and healthy potential. When a healthy part of our mindbody becomes stressed, its resonant frequency is “dampened”. This frequency dampening is what leads to health problems.
The resonant frequency of our Inner peace is natural to the integral health of our mindbody in every regard. The deep-amplitude vibration of peace during a meditation radiates throughout our bodymind, modulating all areas that are dampened or “under stress”.
Through the law of resonance, dampened frequencies are naturally returned to their original healthy state; a process where the vibrations of stress are remodulated to become the vibrations of wellbeing.
With eyes closed, the understated simplicity in the music precipitates a waking consciousness to fall naturally into a state of continuing calm. As we meditate in its soothing ambience, our stress is being released at a continuing rate, not unlike the idea of ascending bubbles in a glass of champaign. Scientifically though, what is actually happening, is the re-modulation of adverse frequency vibrations within us. This is a natural effect in the law of resonance. Through the soothing energy of the music and the sympathetic vibratory level of our meditative state, the disparate vibrations of stress are re-modulated to become more coherent and tranquil. Hence, we can feel more calm and relaxed after meditating in this music.
Our cellular memory also plays a role in this outcome given that the vibration of universal peace and a healthy mind and body are synonymous with our very first moment in life . . . when the two were one.
My music has often been used to soften the vibration of a physical space. If we walk into a room where people have been arguing, we will often sense the presence of negative energies. By playing the music in the room without anyone even being there, is enough to re-modulate the negative energies and return the room to a neutral space.
Some people turn away from meditation because they have been led to believe that meditation makes you dreamy and lethargic, but truly, this is not so! If you are living an active life and want to pursue energetic directions, Meditation is very much for you! Meditation conserves energy by releasing the energy we use to hold onto our stresses. A meditation practice will enable you to be at your most energetic and — at your least energetic. Both are important in the pursuit of a full life experience.
… All is explained in my book “In the key of Peace”.
The book also includes the Simply Stillness approach to meditating.
