Life is Special …

In the key of Peace

When it comes down to it, no one would know anything about life unless they were born. To be human is a gift - the connection between the human and the giver of life is acknowledged through our gratitude and appreciation. In this mix, Peace and ‘being at peace’ is important, I believe the peace we want in the world is grown through each person who finds their Inner peace.

There is nothing more you can contribute to a peaceful world, than to nurture your own Inner peace”.

Inner Peace is the new important.

To be at peace with yourself changes the world you see everyday, into a world you create everyday. “Inner peace” at its most profound, is a duplication of the first moment we arrived here. It is the perfect moment. This most profound moment of peace is within us, below everything we have become, and everything we have made of our lives. While it may only appear as a short moment in human time, Within the depths of its peace, shines the infinite light of eternal love through each of our hearts. Through our non-physical, energetic presence, we find the true home of our inner peace …

The Reflections of Reiki conference 29-30 August.

T’was a magical event, the guest speakers were diverse in covering the width of Reiki healing, and there was much information to be had. It was lovely to meet people using my music in their practice - thank you all. My presentation was near the end of the day and I was using a new sound system that was clean, clear and with a dimensional stereo image. I spoke of the ‘inner world’ of Inner peace and using the music in a healing environment. I spoke of the changes in the world and how important is to meditate and to nurture the peace we have within us. I felt like I had a good time bringing the music forward to an appreciative and aligned audience. Thank you Reiki New Zealand!

The Reiki conference was timely in many ways and represents the beginning of a continuing tour of New Zealand libraries, playing my music and promoting my book “In the key of peace”. I have also released two new meditation tracks titled ‘Reflections in the key of peace meditation 32’ and ‘Reflections in the key of peace meditation 42’. Thirty two minutes and forty-two minutes of continuous meditation.

Earlier in the year you will remember I released the meditation album “Cradled in Calm”. This was put together for good friend and Reiki master Caterina Findsen of the Koru Self Development in Hamilton. I have included this album as part of the new music promotion (see promotion image above). Cradled in Calm is 60 minutes in duration, so along with the latest two releases, you can meditate for 32, 42, or 60 minutes! OR, you can even have a baby to the music!

A peaceful ambience …

It’s also nice just to have the music playing when you are going about your daily activities. The music is playing as I write this. The feeling in this room is relaxed and I find i can be more alert to motivation energies as well as creative ideas and inspirations …

Spring Equinox coming

Finally, I am going to be putting out a few more videos as podcasts to get a wider coverage for the music and to let people know that adopting the practice of meditation can be a normal thing to do that brings great health and well-being to the body and mind. The first podcast style event will be the upcoming Spring Equinox on Wednesday September 23 at 12.05pm. I’ll be sending links to that event.

On a more local note, the weekend following the Spring Equinox from the 25th Sept, is the re-opening of the Nectar Cafe here in Matakana. To celebrate the reopening I will be presenting an afternoon of music in the key of peace on Saturday 26 September.

From the Nectar cafe …

After an incredibly hard year, and a little break to pause, readjust and find our feet in our new lives, we’re finally ready to open the gates and welcome you all back to our beautiful café.

We’re so excited to be reopening Friday 25th September and welcome back all our old friends, as well as some new faces.

Our beautiful courtyard is ready for those sunny days, and we now have extra indoor seating with a cosy fire for the colder days. Our space is also available for functions and private events.

We’re fully licensed and will be serving our scratch-made cabinet food, along with a fresh new menu featuring some tasty new additions — while, of course, keeping plenty of your favourites. And as always, there will be plenty of gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options.

We can’t wait to see you, catch up, share some good food and welcome you back to Nectar Café at Morris & James.

Opening hours:

🌿 Wed–Fri: 9am–3pm

🌿 Sat–Sun: 9am–4pm

See you from 25th September!

A new menu will be posted in the next few weeks …
