Feeling good is the best medicine

No matter what your health problem, once you start feeling good, you will begin to start feeling well.

Medical science is today, a “hot potato” and it’s been on the boil for some time. Without naming the contributing issues, it’s fair to say that science and technology in general health care, is losing touch with the ordinary “organic” human being. Not only is health-care expensive, relative to moderate incomes, but it has become dehumanised in its service and development — and it doesn’t always work!

There are many who are now crossing the unnecessary divide to a more natural approach to their health. In particular, thinking twice before knee-jerk running off to the doctor for the slightest ailment. People are looking around for other ways of addressing their health issues and natural medicines and therapies are definitely becoming the direction of their choice. Mainstream medicine is quite literally driving people to alternative health care.

The way I see it, it’s a “people power” thing. In the end, the market will decide based on price, effectiveness and benefits. At the rate things are going, I see a more natural approach to human health care becoming more than norm, than what we call “the norm” today. Because after all; we are organic beings — we are not made of nuts and bolts. (Sorry AI)

But if we are talking about normal, one can’t turn away from the fact that humans have a natural self-healing ability. We always have had, and that is why we have survived so long without medical science. I believe in most cases, we just don’t give ourselves enough time and credit to make it work for us. Being our own doctor doesn’t have to impinge on what doctors do for us, but perhaps if we engage with our self-healing abilities, we might overcome that knee-jerk, run to the doctor thing.

At the core of our self healing abilities is our state of mind. That’s where every health condition we have in our body begins. At some point, all unhappy people become unwell. Physical un-wellness is triggered in the decline of our mental/emotional states. It therefore can be switched back on to wellness by enhancing our mental emotional disposition.

So here is a statement and a medicine:

“FEELING GOOD IS FEELING WELL”

Essentially, “feeling good” is  an emotional expression. Everybody has at some point, felt good in their life, and everybody has a “feeling memory” of how it feels to feel good. Accessing our feeling memories firstly requires our intention to do so.

For a moment, close your eyes and think of a time when you felt good . . .

See, it works.

I know that all the changes going on locally and worldwide are causing us much stress and unwellness. And I know this is not conducive to feeling good. But if you know that feeling good will also make you feel well, then why wouldn’t you make the conscious effort?

At this point I will do a small plug for practicing meditation. Adopting a practice of meditation gives us the mental and emotional space to more easily access our feeling memories in the middle of our chaos. Jeffree's Simply Stillness teach yourself to meditate - Audio guide

If you feel like you don’t have the time to begin meditating, then the rest of this article is to reinforce the point, that feeling good is feeling well. Following is a list of relative quotes and comments. Read it, and read it again if it helps you feel good.

In your life, do what makes you feel good.

Don’t spend time with anything that doesn’t feel good.

Feeling good pleases the soul and heals the body, Feel the feelings of feeling good.

Feeling good is a universal energy — a creator and a sustainer of life.

You can start to feel good anytime.

Feeling good begins inside you first. Once you start feeling good, things will naturally change around you for the better.

So, doing what makes you feel good, is something you do for you. No one else is involved in this process. If you find you run into obstacles like “it was something or someone else’s fault that you don’t feel good”  Please release this energy through the breath, or put it aside for the time being — if only for the benefit of accessing your “feel good” memory.

Feeling good can be switched on, try it now . . .

Close eyes, take a few slow breaths. Breathe out anything that doesn’t feel good. Now, think of a time when you felt good … a time when you felt wonderful. Feel the feelings of that time expanding within you - Feel the feelings of feeling good.

Here are some simple feel good affirmations. You can also make up your own. Repeat then in your mind as you go about your day. Let the feelings of feeling good be part of your consciousness.
I feel good about my health
I feel good about my finances
I feel good about my career
I feel good about my life
I feel good about where I live
I feel good about ageing
I feel good about myself and I feel good about everything else.

Feeling good is a change in itself. It is also the pre-requisite for continuing change, because feeling good eliminates any negative drivers you might have.

When we fill our lives with good feelings, darkness misery and disease will fade away, they will cease to exist - and THAT, is the basis of our natural immunity.
Feeling good is feeling well; is a basic truth of life, It needs no embellishment, it needs no proof  — it just is, as it is.

It is true that as children, we could instantaineously switch between emotions. Back then, we didn’t have the emotional attachment mechanism we developed as we grew up . . .
